BLOOD LUSTRemo surrenders to a sex goddess armed to seduce and destroy the Destroyer.
"Arms Race To The Finish Line"
Normally Remo didn't care how evil enemies were armed. The Destroyer could take on everything from brass knuckles to H-bombs. But now he faced a foe equipped with arms that even he couldn't overcome. For the many arms of the goddess Kali were attached to the most fabulous body in the universe of love. And with Chiun trapped in the spirit world, Remo's flesh turned weak as his iron will melted down in the arms of a female who had the fate of the world in her many fiendish hands.

This is the only true two parter in the series. This book ends with the line "To Be Concluded In Destroyer #86, Arabian Nightmare" - it drove me nuts. I was missing #86! Anyway, the book is probably one of the most disturbing in the series. It centers around Kimberly Baynes, the 13 year old girl we first met in #59, "The Arms Of Kali". She talks to the spirit of Kali (actually communicates by thought alone), and grows an additional two arms.
We
later find that Kali is preparing
Kimberly as the future vessel for herself, much like Remo will someday be the vessel for Shiva. Kali is a sex crazed, murderous bitch.
Now put that in the body of a 13 year old girl! Kali matures her mentally and physically,
and her powers are irrestable to Remo. By the time this book ends, Remo is dead, and
Kali and Shiva are starting the destruction of
the world, stirring the Cauldron of Blood and dancing the Tandava (the dance that crushes
the bones and soles of men beneath their feet.)
That's just part of the action. Chiun is believed dead, and his spirit haunts Remo. Eventually Smith sees the apparition, and discovers the truth. So Smith, not Remo, is responsible for saving Chiun's life.
Don Cooder and Reverand Juniper Jackson have an ongoing battle of egos, Maddas Hinsein is the slave of Kimberly and bragging that he is one "Crazy Mad Ass Arab". Remo has the longest lasting erection in the series, thanks to his reaction to Kimberly/Kali. He's grieving for Chiun, but none can fail to notice his "tent pole". We hear several comments referring to Remo being "lusty in his grief" - actually it's great ongoing gag.
Smith accepts the spiritual world - he has no choice! There are plenty of open ends, unfinished sub-plots, and characters we want to see wasted. What happens to Chiun, Remo, Kimberly, Shiva, Kali, Maddas, Jackson, Cooder, and Smith? Will the world end? Will Shiva and Kali get together? It sounds like one of Chiun's old soaps! For the answers, you'll have to read #86!
