An invader from outer space challenges Remo and Chiun to a race against Doomsday.
The Russians who invented it called it the Sword of Damocles-a device that silently sterilized men and women alike. And now the Sword was in the worst possible hands - the out-of-whack android named Mr. Gordons that had returned from outer space to wreak revenge on those who had sent it there. Remo. Chiun. And the entire U.S. population. America was heading for a fate worse than death unless, Remo, Chiun and an untrustworthy, supersexy Soviet superspy could defeat this cybernaut chameleon that could destroy and attack with ease....
Mr. Gordons, the Survival Machine is baaaaack, and he wants sweet revenge on Remo and Chiun. Mr. Gordons (named after the Gin), pirates the first Russian space shuttle - complete with it's doomsday cargo (a satellite that renders entire populations sterile.)
The first casualty? Chiun! Yep, our favorite MOS, in his words, becomes "unmanned" - sterile. Thus ends the "pure" line of Sinanju, and Chiun is not pleased.
Other characters in this book include the Sexy Russian spy Anna Chutesov (who has the hots for Remo) and an IRS agent killer/survivalist named Earl Armalide. This is the third or forth book Anna is in - she knows all about CURE, but Smith values her help and input, so has not yet had her offed by Remo.
This is also one of the few books Remo does not screw around in! Yep, his mind is on getting BACK to Sinanju and his bride to be. Of course Chiun wants the opposite.
There was not that much humor in this particular book, but plenty of action and close calls.
