The Destroyer #106They keep getting better and better. We are talking an interesting plot, a Remo/Chiun personal crisis, Mistress Kali with her kinky rose, black leather and whip, the world on the brink of war (orchestrated by Kali so she and Shiva can dance the Tandava once again), and even more!
I read this within 24 hours. There's a mysterious enemy with an attack sub and killer factory ship. Remo almost buys the fish farm. Plus the God Kali's baack! This should really be strange - the last we heard of Kali, she was subverting Remo's daughter! Kali is the one creature Remo is virtually helpless against. Whenever they meet, Remo looses - even dies. Then it's up to Shiva. Will Shiva save Remo this time? You'll see...
We find out more about Chiun's negotiations with Smith, Remo discovers a way to keep the women off, and sharks discover one think that they can't eat, but that will eat them!
For a while we even wonder if Chiun has done Remo an insurmountable wrong, one that will dissolve their stormy relationship. Finally - Chiun is back on the cover. He looks pissed about being left off #104 & #105!
A hint: can't find the newest Destroyer book in the big chain stores? Try the small ma & pa stores, or used book stores - I have found that they always have the books at least two weeks before the biggies.
But - There were several serious errors dealing with the history of Sinanju, and the chick on the cover is depicted using throwing stars and ninchucks, or nonchicks, or whatever you call those silly sticks Chiun would never touch. Ahhh - that's why he looks pissed!
