As a fan of the series, there were always certain villains that jumped out as favorites. I though other readers may resapond to this with their own lists of the top 5 baddies. My own favorites were;
1) Nuihc, Chuin's original pupil. He was the perfect nemesis for Remo, and should have appeared in just a few more books.
2) The House of the Wa, from "Power Play." I loved it whenever they had a badguy with a background tie-in to Sinanju legends.The final battle, however, was a dissapointment.
3) The Nillsson brothers, from "Acid Rock." They were rival assasins who actually held their own quite well against the Koreans. They also had a special ability that made them worthy opponents while still believable; something the current authors in the series should emulate more closely.
4) The redneck army Colonel (his name escapes me) from "Chained Reaction." This was a good example of a bad guy with no funky powers or background who was simply interesting on his own terms.
5) The titular character of "The Last Alchemist." This guy had an ancient history rooted in alchemy, the forerunner to modern chemistry. He was also obsessed with being a bona-fide crown-wearing king. This was a villain with real style and an interesting background. I always thought this particular book was unfairly dismissed by the other fans.
Other books like "Mafia Fix," "Death Therapy," "Mugger Blood (my personal favorite book)," "The Seventh Stone," "Sue Me," "Fool's Gold," "Kill Or Cure (my other personal favorite," "The Final Death" and too many other to list featured top shelf antagonists. Responses would be appreciated.
