As has been suggested before here, replace Harold W with his daughter, who IS every bit the tight-bum that he is. She eats that gods-awful prunewhipped yogurt because no one else will, and it just keeps coming in, no matter how much she threatens the delivery man. The delivery man just can't understand why she'd want to deny that tiny old yellow gentleman his one true joy in life. Remo and Chiun call her Bitty Smitty behind her back, for various reasons. Remo's charms simply don't work on her. Her biggest fear is getting hooked on drugs again, she sees it as her only weak moment in life.
