Through the entire series Chiun is seen writing in the histories of Sinanju or lecturing Remo on them. The "new" (uh, yuck) writers should read through the entire series and aggregate all the stories into one volume and then "fill in" some of the gaps with Sinanjuish stories relating to historic events at the appropriate times.
This would serve two purposes: 1. Get the stuff together into another book that I would buy (and presumably others) 2. Make these idiots read what has already been written so they could get any future books right (no "don't believe" things they have already done, use familiar names,...)

Personally, I think the kid would be toast just for asking Chuin to teach him Karate.

The only regret Chiun has in his life is, "The Great Mistake"
After his son was killed in a fall while training, Chiun took his nephew, Nuhic, as a student. Nuhic, while an excellent student, was an evil man. He intended to use Sinanju, not to support the village, but to bring himself power and riches. Many years after the death of Nuhic, we are finally shown the true extent of his evil.
Chiun's son was not killed in the fall, he was badly injured. Nuhic happened upon his broken, bleeding body and saw an opportunity. He realized that with Chiun's son out of the way, he would be the logical choice as the next pupil.
He sent Chiun's son to a far off village to be healed and cared for. Then, he returned to Sinanju with the news of the "death" of Chiun's son. Word was sent to Chiun who was serving a client in a distant land at the time.
Over the years, after Chiun took him as a student, Nuhic would journey to the village where Chiun's son was being kept. Nuhic filled his head with lies. He told him that the fall had disgraced him. He told him that by failing in his training, he had brought shame to Chiun as a teacher. He told him that Chiun had disowned him and that to return to Sinanju would mean instant death. Worst of all, Nuhic tought Chiun's son the Sinanju methods he was learning.
Now Remo and Chiun, both Master's of Sinanju receive a message. A papyrus scroll arrives. Remo sees the color drain from Chiun's face as he reads it.
A Master's Challange has been issued. A contest to the death between Remo, Chiun's adopted son, and the long lost heir to Sinanju. The prize will be Sinanju itself.
